Description of the Course

Generative AI has found its place in almost every aspect of work and everyday life. It helps us reshape the way we work, and enables us to harness our creativity and efficiency. With today’s work dynamics evolving faster than ever before, it might be almost essential to know how to implement Generative AI tools in our workplace. This course will give participants a clear understanding of how Generative AI works and help them integrate it into their daily workflow.

In this course, participants will learn what Generative AI is and gain experience with the most popular models used for generating text, images and videos, like ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek and other. Attention is brought upon practical applications that enable users to plan work tasks more effectively, automate routine activities, and tackle challenges that otherwise might normally require outside assistance, or take much more time to complete. More importantly, attention is paid to Prompt Engineering, i.e. how to properly give instructions to the Generative AI tool in order to get the best possible output from the model the user is working with.

    • Exploring how Generative AI can be applied in various domains—ranging from workflow optimization and idea generation to academic and business research.
  3. Practical Use with Traditional Software
    • Demonstrating how AI tools can complement commonly used software, including tasks like editing Word and Excel files, generating LaTeX code, and more. Further discussion on limitations and tool accessibility.
  4. Fundamentals of Prompt Engineering
    • Introduction to the concept of prompt engineering, focusing on how to communicate effectively with AI systems to achieve optimal results.
  5. Ethics and Responsible Use
    • A discussion on ethical considerations when using Generative AI, with examples from business, education, and research environments.
